For the sixth year the Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors’ Association SA (AMCA SA) has formed a cycling team to ride in the Challenge Tour, as part of the 2016 Tour Down Under.

This year AMCA SA had eight riders, with most of the riders in the 40 to 70+ range, all rode the full 142 kms, to finish at Victor Harbor, where a considerable time was spent celebrating the team’s success.

One of our riders this year was an example to everyone. Griff Weste (70 years +) came in fourth in our team of pretty seasoned riders. Griff is not only a handy cyclist, he has competed and won the Hawaiian Iron Man twice and competes in 4 – 5 Iron Man events every year.

AMCA SA were pleased that this year they could raise money for MATES in Construction.  They are hoping that next year they will do better, have more riders and of course have more fun.  Consider join AMCA SA if you want to have a good day and raise funds for a worthy cause.

Thank you to everyone at AMCA SA for raising nearly $3,500 for MATES in Construction!
