Fly the Flag Day is BACK!

Calling all Connectors & ASIST workers – Register now for Fly the Flag!

Construction workers are more than twice as likely to suicide than other people in Australia and are six times more likely to die by suicide than through a workplace accident.

MATES in Construction, MATES in Mining and MATES in Energy have once again, teamed up with R U OK Day for Fly the Flag Day 2019.

On Thursday 12 September, construction, mining and energy sites around Australia will be Flying the Flag for suicide prevention and will be asking their mates R U OK?

Flying the MATES flag shows your support and raises awareness of suicide prevention in the industry.  It is a display to the broader community that the construction, mining and energy industries are actively involved in the prevention of suicide.

If you are a Connector/ASIST, register your site to participate this year – click ‘Register your Site’ below and you will automatically get 1 free flag kit!

Not a Connector or ASIST but still want your site involved? Still register your site but mark the box stating you are not a Connector and a Field Officer will get in touch directly with you.

By completing the registration, you have already taken the first step to being involved. As part of your registration kit, you will receive a flag to hang proudly.

Together, today and every other day, we stand to stop, look around and listen to our mates to prevent suicide in the industry.

*Please note that registrations close on 5th September 6pm EST.
